PaPa Mac’s turn!

PapaMac turns 97 years old today!  Happy Birthday to you!!

The girls both said that “only three more ‘hops’ and he’ll be at 100!!”  (This is a very technical math term we use with the number grid–hops.)  They were impressed that he is almost three digits.

Now this is a funny story that I will let GG use her discretion on as to whether she shares it with PapaMac or not:

We were riding down the road listening to Ruby read a book.  She got to the word “ancient” and asked me what it meant.  I said, “Well, it usually is used to describe something really, really, really, REALLY old.”

There was a few seconds of silence and then inquisitive Molly asked, “How old is PapaMac?”

I think she thought I would answer, “Ancient.”

But I was laughing so hard that I couldn’t say anything.  These kids make me laugh.

    1. Kristy, it’s 4 am and couldn’t sleep so thought I’d see what the Dorminy clan has been up to. You never cease to amaze me with your insight and fortitude with life. Thanks you for giving to the Lord for you have always changed my life in watching you live. I have missed you all and can’t wait for some quality time. We will miss Merrilees’ shower but be there on Sunday, will you all be coming down? Sounds like you’re life has been full as I know it will continue to be. May you know even thought you don’t hear from me you and the Dorminy family is always in my heart. May your days ahead with home school be very fulfilling and know that there is no other greater ministry than the one the Lord gives us in our own home. I love you dearly, Rejoice, your sister in Christ, Pep
