Morning! Last night the Koester Kids spent the night. They are such great kids. They all ate dinner together, then they played outside for a very long time. They watched a movie, then played upstairs together for a long time. THEN, they had one final movie before bed. Mack slept in Molly’s bed; Ben slept in Ruby’s bed. All three girls slept in Mack’s queen bed. It seemed to work great.
This morning, Josh had to go upstairs to get his laptop. He saw that Mack had slipped into his room where all the girls were and had decided to sleep at the foot of the bed. Oh, how cute! He probably woke up in the middle of the night wondering why in the world he was in the girls room. (He had fallen asleep during the movie, so when I put him in Molly’s bed, he was out.)
Also, last night during the final movie, Mack and Molly came down during a “scary” part of Aladdin. Mack saw that Josh had a chocolate chip cookie on a paper towel, and he snuck a bite and then smiled big and ran out of the room.
Fast forward to this morning where Mack had made his way into our bed in the wee hours of the morning. He woke up around 9:00am. I was sitting in my rocking chair reading as he started to rub his eyes with his chubby hands and groan and stretch. I said, “Good Morning, Buddy!” He turned his head in my direction, cracked open one eye and said, “Where is Daddy’s nakin’ and cookie?” Wow. Talk about a memory. He probably dreamed about that chocolate chip cookie all night.
