It’s February!!

We decided to go see the girls on Friday since Mack had the day off from school. We only stayed one night, so it was a whirlwind, but I am so glad we made the quick trip.

We started off at Molly’s house and waited on Ruby to get there after her class. Then, we went to Ruby’s apartment for a little bit, did some shopping at the mall, went to their favorite Mexican restaurant, then met some friends back at Molly’s house for crumbl cookies and ice cream and a game. They were a nice, funny group. Molly definitely has a gift of bringing people together, and I love her for it.

Saturday morning Josh and I had breakfast together, then went to Kroger to grocery shop for both girls…I felt like we were on a game show shopping a new store from two lists and keeping them separate and trying to do it efficiently. But we did it! Then, Josh filled up their gas tanks and took everyone to lunch. We also paid rent for each girl while we were there since it was Feb 1. So while it was a costly 24 hours, it was a sweet little visit. We headed back to CLT so the girls could get ready for a surprise engagement party. Ruby’ room mate got engaged on Saturday, and we are super excited for them.

We had specific topics to discuss with each girl. It’s just easier to talk about important things face to face, so I am thankful we made progress on those things. And Mack is still unsure of where exactly he will choose to attend college, so we also wanted him to see Liberty once more. To be continued on his next step!

I didn’t take a lot of photos…but I did enjoy the time together! And Josh and I stayed at The Virginian, which was a much better hotel than we have stayed in previously.

Five more weeks until Spring Break when we will see them (and 8 of their friends!) at Edisto Beach.
