At least the Gnats didn’t bother us, Part 2

So, I told you about the dead dog, the dress-up outfits that Ruby wore the entire weekend, the tornadoes that whirled around us (a slight exaggeration),  and some other stuff….

Well, here’s the rest.  Mack’s birthday party was fun.  He started off a bit grumpy because I woke him up from a nap.  It’s almost never a good idea to do such a thing.

The girls played some great games on Gran’s laptop.  Molly is usually the one who lets Ruby go first.  She is a sweet, persistent, little girl.

Josh and Irv tried flying a kite later on Saturday.  It didn’t work so well that day, but Sunday after church they flew it way up high.  I didn’t get any pictures of the great kite-flying day.  oops.

As long as someone ran and ran with it, it stayed up, but that was way too much work!

And it is not a trip to Gran and PawPaw’s house without riding the golf cart.  My parents have a golf cart, too.  I joke about it because my kids probably think that all grandparents have a golf cart.  I mean, why wouldn’t they?

A fun time in South GA.  Mack is now TWO years old.  He had been showing signs of it and now there is no denying it.  Now, for two months anyway, people will ask, “How old are you kids?”  And I will say, “2, 3, & 4,” and they will look at me like I am crazy because, well, I am.

  1. i have eaten more than my fair share of gnats and trust me… they won’t kill ya…haha. Next time remember to get them to wear a baseball cap and put a bounce sheet in them to keep the gnats off.
the cake was ADORABLE. Tell Josh i met his baseball coach and i told him about your blog. He also mentioned something about a delicious snack the his mom would make for the baseball team…sure would like to know what that was.
